Since you are reading this, you probably know that weight gain can be very frustrating especially when it is attributed to hormonal imbalance or menopause . This added weight tends to accumulate in the midsection which is one of the WORST areas to gain weight. Studies have shown that post-menopausal women are at increased risk of HEART DISEASE because of this weight gain around their midsection.
So as we age, it is so important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and part of that healthy lifestyle includes eating specific foods that will help with hormonal imbalance and avoiding others that make the symptoms worse.
I’ve gotta share a secret with you. I may be a health coach now, but that wasn’t always the case. In fact, if someone had told me 10 years ago I’d be interested in nutrition, I would have laughed.
I mean, I was the gal who was addicted to CHOCOLATE BARS and MORNING GLORY MUFFINS. However, I was one of the lucky ones because until I turned 50, I only gained maybe 1 pound per year, and since I started out as a skinny girl, that was okay by me.
